Default Mission vs. Hunting (Party Search) ???

I've noticed that when people are looking for a group in a mission, they always put their lfg thing under hunting. Is there a reason for this? Is there something I don't know about? I very rarely see anyone put it under the mission category.

most ppl with text in the party search window get it there by typing a line with "lfg" in all chat, and that automatically puts your search under hunting.

Type in 'Lfg xxx' to your chatbox and it'll automatically put it into the hunting tab, rather than anywhere else. They're just too lazy to change it.

Also... what ELSE are u supposed to put in the "hunting" tab? Frankly that whole section is mislabeled. It really should just say the "lfg/glf" section, that is what it is supposedly intended for.

I figure there is where farming/vanquishing would go...and people who are in need of assistance completing quests or missions would advertise under Mission...

Make sense?

Automatic party search does that. Hardly anyone bothers to change it. Many players don't even use party search, inviting them may not give any response.

But well, people still DO pug and it DOES work most of the time. (Especially with Ursan which simplified things a lot)

I am sure that the lfg was one of those short cuts that they used from like a year ago or something to clean up the party search window. It is a lot better now than when it was a year ago let me tell you.

Kuto's to the staff there. As for the remark about hunting and who needs it, remember that there was only ONE chapter when the game came out. It existed in 2 parts. Pre-Searing and Post-Searing.

If you have a access to Pre-Searing go there and you will find that the "Hunting" and "Mission" windows are used with great care. You will get flamed really fast for lfg if you do not then select the proper place for it in the party search window.
